Cinder Plugin Registration
--------------------------
The IBM Spectrum Virtualize Family (SVf) Cinder driver supports registration of
a Cinder plugin with the backend system. This registration allows the backend
system to identify that it is being managed by OpenStack Cinder.
The plugin is registered only when the Call Home service is enabled on the
backend system. User can enable/disable Call Home service on the backend
system using IBM Storwize UI/CLI.
The registration includes the following information:
- Plugin name (fixed value: ``CINDER``)
- Cinder driver version
- Metadata such as:
- Operating system version
- Cinder manager version
- Deployment type
- PBHA related configurations
- Replication features related configurations
.. note::
No sensitive data is collected during the plugin registration.
The plugin is registered locally on the backend system.
