The telemetry jobs deploy the full AIO service set (which already
runs on 16GB nodes) plus aodh, ceilometer, gnocchi and valkey, but on
8GB nodes without swap. They run out of memory and the kernel
OOM-killer kills mariadbd (or firefox during the horizon selenium
test), e.g. during validate-config:
kernel: Out of memory: Killed process 56698 (mariadbd)
total-vm:5758488kB, anon-rss:210996kB, ... oom_score_adj:0
This shows up as "The following mariadb containers are missing or
not running: mariadb" in the check step, or as keystone 502s in
reconfigure. debian-trixie-telemetry has not passed on master since
2026-08-24.
