Drew Thorstensen 6cc2a07f70 Minor spelling/consistency updates ...

This change set fixes some minor formatting issues.  In general, the
following.

- Have a consistent return doc string
- Have param be format :param xyz: instead of :param: xyz:
- A couple spelling issues
- Some doc string consolidation
