Swati Dewan c5ac8c0562 Fix the applications create functionality in the dashboard ...

The current dashboard plugin's code for creating a new application is
outdated. This patch updates it to work with the current API.

Also, here is a link to a screenshot of what the form for creation looks
like when giving the source as app-file:
