3f88907012 sharding: Better-handle newlines in container names
Previously, if you were on Python 2.7.10+ [0], such a newline would cause the
sharder to fail, complaining about invalid header values when trying to create
the shard containers. On older versions of Python, it would most likely cause a
parsing error in the container-server that was trying to handle the PUT.

Now, quote all places that we pass around container paths. This includes:

  * The X-Container-Sysmeta-Shard-(Quoted-)Root sent when creating the (empty)
    remote shards
  * The X-Container-Sysmeta-Shard-(Quoted-)Root included when initializing the
    local handoff for cleaving
  * The X-Backend-(Quoted-)Container-Path the proxy sends to the object-server
    for container updates
  * The Location header the container-server sends to the object-updater

Note that a new header was required in requests so that servers would
know whether the value should be unquoted or not. We can get away with
reusing Location in responses by having clients opt-in to quoting with
a new X-Backend-Accept-Quoted-Location header.

During a rolling upgrade,

  * old object-servers servicing requests from new proxy-servers will
not know about the container path override and so will try to update
    the root container,
  * in general, object updates are more likely to land in the root
container; the sharder will deal with them as misplaced objects, and
  * shard containers created by new code on servers running old code
will think they are root containers until the server is running new
code, too; during this time they'll fail the sharder audit and report
stats to their account, but both of these should get cleared up upon
    upgrade.

Drive-by: fix a "conainer_name" typo that prevented us from testing that
we can shard a container with unicode in its name. Also, add more UTF8
probe tests.

d5c532a94e object-updater: add concurrent updates
The object updater now supports two configuration settings:
"concurrency" and "updater_workers". The latter controls how many
worker processes are spawned, while the former controls how many
concurrent container updates are performed by each worker
process. This should speed the processing of async_pendings.

There is a change to the semantics of the configuration
options. Previously, "concurrency" controlled the number of worker
processes spawned, and "updater_workers" did not exist. I switched the
meanings for consistency with other configuration options. In the
object reconstructor, object replicator, object server, object
expirer, container replicator, container server, account replicator,
account server, and account reaper, "concurrency" refers to the number
of concurrent tasks performed within one process (for reference, the
container updater and object auditor use "concurrency" to mean number
of processes).

On upgrade, a node configured with concurrency=N will still handle
async updates N-at-a-time, but will do so using only one process
instead of N.

UpgradeImpact:

If you have a config file like this:

    [object-updater]
    concurrency = <N>

and you want to take advantage of faster updates, then do this:

    [object-updater]
concurrency = 8 # the default; you can omit this line
    updater_workers = <N>

If you want updates to be processed exactly as before, do this:

    [object-updater]
    concurrency = 1
    updater_workers = <N>

47aff724bb Log updater stats once per pass, not per policy
The object updater emits a log line saying "Object update sweep
completed on <disk> in <time>: <lots-of-stats>" after finishing each
storage policy's async pendings. That's not right; an update sweep is
completed on a device when you've looked at all the async pendings on
the device.

This commit moves the "sweep completed" message so it's once per
device, not per policy.

f64c00b00a Improve object-updater's stats logging
The object updater has five different stats, but its logging only told
you two of them (successes and failures), and it only told you after
finishing all the async_pendings for a device. If you have a cluster
that's been sick and has millions upon millions of async_pendings
laying around, then your object-updaters are frustratingly
silent. I've seen one cluster with around 8 million async_pendings per
disk where the object-updaters only emitted stats every 12 hours.

Yes, if you have StatsD logging set up properly, you can go look at
your graphs and get real-time feedback on what it's doing. If you
don't have that, all you get is a frustrating silence.

Now, the object updater tells you all of its stats (successes,
failures, quarantines due to bad pickles, unlinks, and errors), and it
tells you incremental progress every five minutes. The logging at the
end of a pass remains and has been expanded to also include all stats.

Also included is a small change to what counts as an error: unmounted
drives no longer do. The goal is that only abnormal things count as
errors, like permission problems, malformed filenames, and so
on. These are things that should never happen, but if they do, may
require operator intervention. Drives fail, so logging an error upon
encountering an unmounted drive is not useful.

case of ports mixed up. Sometimes a functional tests tries to

d5ca365965 Add Storage Policy support to Object Updates
The object server will now send its storage policy index to the
container server synchronously and asynchronously (via async_pending).

Each storage policy gets its own async_pending directory under
/srv/node/$disk/objects-$N, so there's no need to change the on-disk
pickle format; the policy index comes from the async_pending's
filename. This avoids any hassle on upgrade. (Recall that policy 0's
objects live in /srv/node/$disk/objects, not objects-0.) Per-policy
tempdir as well.

Also clean up a couple little things in the object updater. Now it
won't abort processing when it encounters a file (not directory) named
"async_pending-\d+", and it won't process updates in a directory that
does not correspond to a storage policy.

That is, if you have policies 1, 2, and 3, but there's a directory on
your disk named "async_pending-5", the updater will now skip over that
entirely. It won't even bother doing directory listings at all. This
is a good idea, believe it or not, because there's nothing good that
the container server can do with an update from some unknown storage
policy. It can't update the listing, it can't move the object if it's
misplaced... all it can do is ignore the request, so it's better to
just not send it in the first place. Plus, if this is due to a
misconfiguration on one storage node, then the updates will get
processed once the configuration is fixed.

There's also a drive by fix to update some backend http mocks for container
update tests that we're not fully exercising their their request fakes.
Because the object server container update code is resilient to to all manor
of failure from backend requests the general intent of the tests was
unaffected but this change cleans up some confusing logging in the debug
logger output.

The object-server will send X-Storage-Policy-Index headers with all
requests to container severs, including X-Delete containers and all
object PUT/DELETE requests. This header value is persisted in the
pickle file for the update and sent along with async requests from the
object-updater as well.

The container server will extract the X-Storage-Policy-Index header from
incoming requests and apply it to container broker calls as appropriate
defaulting to the legacy storage policy 0 to support seemless migration.

3824ff3df7 Add Storage Policy support to Object Server
Objects now have a storage policy index associated with them as well;
this is determined by their filesystem path. Like before, objects in
policy 0 are in /srv/node/$disk/objects; this provides compatibility
on upgrade. (Recall that policy 0 is given to all existing data when a
cluster is upgraded.) Objects in policy 1 are in
/srv/node/$disk/objects-1, objects in policy 2 are in
/srv/node/$disk/objects-2, and so on.

 * 'quarantined' dir already created 'objects' subdir so now there
will also be objects-N created at the same level

This commit does not address replicators, auditors, or updaters except
where method signatures changed. They'll still work if your cluster
has only one storage policy, though.

For the object server, a new setup() method is now called at the end
of the controller's construction, and the _diskfile() method has been
renamed to get_diskfile(), to allow implementation specific behavior.

We then hide the need for the REST API layer to know how and where
quarantining needs to be performed. There are now two places it is
checked internally, on open() where we verify the content-length,
name, and x-timestamp metadata, and in the reader on close where the
etag metadata is checked if the entire file was read.

We add a reader class to allow implementations to isolate the WSGI
handling code for that specific environment (it is used no-where else
in the REST APIs). This simplifies the caller's code to just use a
"with" statement once open to avoid multiple points where close needs
to be called.

3d36a76156 Use Python 3.x compatible except construct
except x,y: was deprected and is removed in Python 3.x.
Use "except x as y:" instead which works in any Python

a979c8007b Add support for Hash Prefix
A new configuration parameter is added to /etc/swift/swift.conf
[swift-hash]
swift_hash_path_prefix = 'random unique string'

New installations are advised to set this parameter to a random secret,
which would not be disclosed ouside the organization.
The same secret needs to be used by all swift servers of the same cluster.

Existing installations should set this parameter to an empty string
(the default)
