Setting Up IRC
Learning Exercise
- Open the Setup IRC section of the Contributor Guide
- Read the material
- You do not have to setup the IRC client locally, there is an IRC client on the VM image that you can use
- Ask the mentors questions
- Get ready to go through the exercises
Exercise 1
- Where can you find a list of all of the OpenStack IRC channels?
- Join the channel of the project(s) you are interested in
Exercise 2
- Look up when the next meeting is for the project who's channel you joined
- Where is the meeting is conducted (#openstack-meeting, #openstack-meeting-3, etc)?
- Share something you find interesting from the proposed agenda
Exercise 3
- Find the logs from the most recent meeting
- Who spoke the most during that meeting?
