From 14e13efb47a4d20a1ac988254130ccc97648a441 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Jiri Podivin Date: Tue, 29 Mar 2022 08:57:50 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] Disable auto discovery Tripleo-ci jobs are broken after latest release of setuptools 61.0 because of breaking changes which are not backwork compatible, details in related bug and [1]. Users that don't set ``packages``, ``py_modules``, or `configuration` are still likely to observe the auto-discovery behavior, which may halt the build if the project contains multiple directories and/or multiple Python files directly under the project root. To disable auto discovery, one can do below in setup.py ~~~ setuptools.setup(..,packages=[],..) ~~~ or ~~~ setuptools.setup(..,py_modules=[],..) ~~~ [1] https://github.com/pypa/setuptools/issues/3197 Related-Bug: #1966382 Signed-off-by: Jiri Podivin Change-Id: I4cf10643a18fbc331213b5a3f3d4e4f207f49527 (cherry picked from commit 66f8964f59342d99f7115b16ac8629382279e918) --- setup.py | 1 + 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+) diff --git a/setup.py b/setup.py index 70c2b3f3..097bada8 100755 --- a/setup.py +++ b/setup.py @@ -19,4 +19,5 @@ import setuptools setuptools.setup( setup_requires=['pbr'], + py_modules=[], pbr=True)
