Configuring collectd to send notifications to Vitrage
|

|
||||
1. Edit the collectd.conf file (e.g vim /etc/collectd/collectd.conf)
|
||||
|
||||
2. Enable the python plugin with the following:
|
||||
* Unmark the python plugin "LoadPlugin python"
|
||||
* Edit the Python plugin as followes:
|
||||
<Plugin python>
|
||||
ModulePath "/opt/stack/vitrage/vitrage/datasources/collectd/"
|
||||
LogTraces true
|
||||
Interactive false
|
||||
Import "collectd_vitrage.vitrageplugin"
|
||||
Import "collectd_vitrage.getsigchld"

3. Change the HostName to be the hostname of the machine (the default is localhost)

4. Enable other plugins you want collectd to use

5. restart the collectd to read the configuration file
|
||||

6. add the collectd to the types list under datasources section in vitrage.conf
|
