Update patch set 2

Patch Set 2:

Hi Thierry,

First of all, I wanted to note that I like the quotes too, but I don't think they fit as chapter opening notes.

While the Four Opens were defined by the OpenStack community, they grew bigger than that by now.

When it comes to the book, I wanted to ensure that we are inclusive from the perspective of audiences as well as the groups and communities who follow these principles. I took the approach to make the text read more neutral and cohesive compared to the earlier versions. Some parts were written from the OpenStack community's perspective, some from the Foundation's, some from ecosystem member companies', etc, and it was confusing to read. To me, it was hard to understand who is telling the story and who is the target audience as readers.

The quotes represent how the OpenStack community transforms the Four Opens into actions. I think those actions serve better as examples to strengthen the message of the Four Opens as opposed to an intro to each chapter. If I leave them there as intro, then they set the tone for the chapters like the OpenStack community was the narrator and the content is written from their perspective, which is not true anymore.

To mention an example, in the Open Community chapter the IRC channel communication and logging is mentioned in the quote, which can be very distracting in my view. Not every community is using IRC and most probably many readers will not be very familiar with it or just have another preference. It will distract their focus from the message of the chapter and put it on, in some cases, figuring out what IRC is and judging whether or not it is the right tool for communication. I wanted to avoid that.

Does it make sense?

Thanks,
Ildikó
