Provision BMC when Adding a Host
================================

|BMC| can be provisioned when adding a host by using the
:command:`host-add` command.

-   To provision the host, use the following syntax.

    .. code-block:: none

        system host-add -n <name> -p <personality> -m <mgmtMacAddress> -I <bm_IP> -U <bm_UserName> -P <bm_Password> -T [redfish|ipmi|dynamic]

    where

    **<personality>**
        is the host type.
 
    **<mgmtMacAddress>**
        is the |MAC| address of the port connected to the internal management.

    **<bm_IP>**
        is the |BMC| IP address.

    **<bm_UserName>**
        is the username for |BMC| access. It should have
        a maximum of 16 characters and no whitespace. 

    **<bm_Password>**
        is the password for |BMC| access. It should have
        a maximum of 20 characters and no whitespace.
