In newer mosquitto version the default for the allow_anonymous config flag was changed from true to a conditional true. It defaults to false if you have certain auth methods enabled. Since the config generated by puppet-mosquitto has these auth methods enabled the implicit value of true changed to false when we upgraded the mosquitto version. This commit fixes this case by explicitly setting allow_anonymous to be true so that we allow anonymous connections so we can have the public read only access to the firehose. The mosquitto module is a part of OpenStack-infra, an effort by the OpenStack infrastructure team to provide continuous integration testing and code review for OpenStack-infra projects.
The mosquitto module is a thorough attempt to make Puppet capable of managing the entirety of mosquitto. This includes manifests to provision the expected features of this module. Types are shipped as part of the mosquitto module to assist in manipulation of configuration files.
mosquitto is not currently in Puppet Forge, but is anticipated to be added soon. Once that happens, you'll be able to install mosquitto with: puppet module install openstack-infra/mosquitto
To utilize the mosquitto module's functionality please check the README.
mosquitto is a combination of Puppet manifests to delivery configuration and extra functionality through types and providers.
This module has beaker-rspec tests
To run the tests on the default vagrant node:
bundle install bundle exec rake acceptance
For more information on writing and running beaker-rspec tests visit the documentation:
