In addition to the base update this change will enable two new features for us. The first is dark mode for when users prefer dark mode in their browser settings. The other is a home button in the toolbar. We should test both of these items with a held node to ensure they work properly for our use cases. We also disable the metrics endpoint as we don't have anything to consume it yet.
