Using the openstack-ansible-magnum role

Below is some very high-level documentation for using this role.

Install Role

Create a file called requirements.yml with the contents:

To install the role then do:

$ ansible-galaxy install -r requirements.yml

Alternatively simply use

$ ansible-galaxy install \
    git+https://github.com/sigmavirus24/openstack-ansible-magnum

Using the role with OpenStack Ansible

An example playbook might look like:

If you're using this role with the OpenStack Ansible, you'll want to add a line to your /etc/openstack_deploy/user_secrets.yml and rerun the password generation script:

magnum_rabbitmq_password:

You will need to make a file named magnum.yml in /etc/openstack_deploy/env.d/ with the following contents:

Note that under properties you can also specify whether magnum runs in a container or on bare metal with is_metal: set to true or false.

Finally, just run the playbook above and you should have a functional Searchlight service.
