The underlying requests library supports a timeout input parameter. The other python-*client libraries support passing it in, so while working on shade, it seemed like a great idea to be able to pass in timeout to swiftclient too. For reference, there's a change in shade: I095c1240693abf024bda2315dd77f4400b24a45b that shows interaction with the other libs, and a tentative patch that would consume this one. Python bindings to the OpenStack Object Storage API
This is a python client for the Swift API. There's a Python API (the
swiftclient
module), and a command-line script
(swift
).
You can find the documentation online.
Development takes place via the usual OpenStack processes as outlined in the OpenStack wiki. The master repository is on GitHub.
This code is based on original the client previously included with OpenStack's swift The python-swiftclient is licensed under the Apache License like the rest of OpenStack.
