Fix incorrect usage of assertTrue

Previously assertTrue is incorrectly used as assertEqual or
assertIsNotNone, this patch fixes. Some assertEqual around the changes
introduced by this patch are also updated to use the proper arguments
convention, from
    assertEqual(observed, expected)
to
    assertEqual(expected, observed)
